Today's 10 features our new track of the week. Let's start, however, with some impressive jazz vocals by the iconic English jazz singer Claire Martin. Her rendition of a contemporary classic by Rufus Wainwright, 'The Art Teacher' from the album Want To (2004, Geffen), is back on our playlist. The final addition to the 10, and the track of the week, Jane Monheit and classic Broadway piece 'Whatever Lola Wants' is an interpretation by the renowned American jazz artist fabulously arranged with an AfroCuban janglingly engaging tilt to it by pianist Max Haymer. There's some very lit-up buoyant montuno passages on this version that also matches the effortless Monheit mastery of the mood in the swagger of the contrastive instrumental interstices contained in the break-out passages.
