Our Tuesday Wonderland playlist is named as a homage to the great e.s.t .tune of the same name which was on the Swedish trio genius-level Live in Hamburg album released in 2007. We are won over by all these sounds.
And so to our new jazz 10 today. Let's zone in on the first track in the list, a chamber jazz piece from jazz flautist Henriette Eilertsen (above). A world away from the delicious comedy of Ron Burgundy But by all means dabble (no sniggering at the back) by 'Valfart,' drawn from an album whose title is Regarding Patience in English - it's Om tålmodighet in Norwegian. But you knew that. 'Valfart' means 'Pilgrimage'. The full album is out on the splendidly entitled Nice Things Records next month. The whole album we were listening to earlier isn't at all lost in translation. It works like a dream.
