A strong line-up of Paul Towndrow - alto saxophone, whistles, flute; Chad McCullough - trumpet, flugelhorn; Miro Herak - vibraphone; Conor Murray - double bass; Alyn Cosker - drums, bodhrán touring One. Chicago trumpeter McCullough met Slovakian vibraphonist Miro Herak at the Banff Center for the Arts and became great friends. They hooked up with Scottish alto saxophonist the Brassjaw legend Towndrow, later to be joined by fellow Scot Alyn Cosker and Irish bassist Conor Murray known for his work with Georgia Cécile. The band combines a range of folk music and jazz and also play Bristol next night, the link for that gig follows:
The band includes the great Michael Mondesir (known for his work with Human Chain and John McLaughlin) on bass guitar. Clowes' Journey to Where with Ross Stanley is one of the top UK jazz albums of the year.
