New head of contemporary music at the Southbank Centre in London who takes up his post later this month is Arts Council England music relationship manager Adem Holness. According to a press release Holness ''specialises in enabling the ambitions of artists and creatives, predominantly within UK jazz, Afrobeat, grime, reggae, electronic and R&B music''. Perhaps the Southbank Centre will host even more jazz gigs going forward. Let's hope so given this positive new appointment.
