Track of the day is the Harish Raghavan piece 'In Tense' drawn from the upcoming studio album of the same name to be issued in late-July. Double bassist Raghavan familiar from his excellent work with Ambrose Akinmusire and from his own inspiring record Calls For Action here with vibist Joel Ross prominent on the piece, guitarist Charles Altura, drummer Eric Harland and saxist Morgan Guerin. Very serious music-making all in all – that comes together to persuasively seize the day.
