Fascinating experimentalism on show here from violinist-singer Johanna Burnheart on Burnheart that Ropeadope are releasing next month. A regular member of Rosie Turton’s band, Johanna formed her own Burnheart band at the end of 2018 and their debut here was recorded in London last year. Personnel include on wurlitzer/synthesizer David Swan, on double bass Jonny Wickham and playing drums Boz Martin-Jones. Promises to be one of the most compelling releases from a new artist this autumn.
