"I arrived in London in 1968 with a toothbrush and a pocket full of dreams, and I used to love strolling down Wardour Street, loving venues like Revolution, Ronnie Scott’s, The Cromwellian and the Speakeasy. Jazz was everywhere and so was I, and I’ve loved it ever since. Finally getting a programme on Jazz FM means I’ve gone full circle now and couldn't be happier" – the words of long time Radio 1 and Top of the Pops DJ David “Kid” Jensen who is to present a new 6-part jazz series on Jazz FM that highlights the work of Parkinson’s UK. The first programme begins on 21 February at 9pm.
