Very much meat and potatoes jazz; no vegetarian options are available! So retro it was even recorded at Van Gelder's studio.

Frank Basile on baritone saxophone and Sam Dillon on tenor power-hose their way through this very no nonsense bunch of tunes that sit better with the jazz of the 1950s or 60s than any time since.

The rhythm section have to hold on tight. But there definitely is no pretentiousness on the menu and the sauce is tasty. But having said that there isn't a lot of subtlety either.
