Saxophonist James Brandon Lewis has been in the recording studio for Intakt Records in New York recently.

The label say that Lewis has recorded an album of his own compositions featuring his quartet and the CD will be released in the autumn.

Before then, his record with drummer-percussionist Chad Taylor Live in Willisau will be released in the spring.

Upcoming on Intakt next month are Inside Rhythmic Falls by Aruán Ortiz with Andrew Cyrille and Mauricio Herrera; and Long Forms by the Ohad Talmor Newsreel Sextet.
