The great Carroll Thompson is to appear at Jazz on a Summer’s Evening in London's Cadogan Hall on 5 June in front of a socially distanced audience. Steve McQueen in his beautiful Small Axe Lovers Rock film made serene use of Janet Kay's 'Silly Games' part of the current lovers rock dreamworld reborn again by McQueen that has created a zeitgeist. Also for Cadogan, near the Royal Court theatre just off Sloane Square, Tara Minton, Jo Harrop and Paul Lee, best known for singing the classic Ben E. King, Leiber & Stoller song 'Stand By Me' with the Kingdom choir at Meghan and Harry's wedding, are in the line-up in this promotion by Mayank Patel's Hampstead Jazz Club and radio station Jazz FM.
