Online this year, the Bremen expo, continues registration until 30 April, Jazzahead! Using the tagline Close together from afar an eve of opening-day press conference was held in the afternoon and featured project manager Sybille Kornitschky, joint artistic director Peter Schulze and a board member of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, Jeff Levenson. Ms Kornitschky underlined the need to ''keep the network going'' while Mr Levenson in a resonant phrase mentioned how jazz was ''created in America and owned by the world.'' Global jazz icon Dee Dee Bridgewater is a top speaker this year. Canadian avant pianist Kris Davis is showcasing among an extensive programme referred to by Mr Schulze who also mentioned a German Jazz Day online presence.
