Interestingly looking at info about the album among the guests on the Abstract Logix release on a track called 'Right Here, Right Now, Right On', zoning in particularly, look for the great, much liked and admired, Wiggy, aka more formally top tenor saxist Julian Siegel out of Nottingham with jazz guitar titan and fellow Englishman from the north-east, McLaughlin. Also on that track are drummer Nicolas Viccaro, bassist Jerome Regard and pianist Oz Ezzeldin. Jump up to speed in real time tonight when Julian's band streams from Ronnie Scott's at 8. Online this year, the Bremen expo, continues registration until 30 April, Jazzahead! Using the tagline Close together from afar an eve of opening-day press conference was held in the afternoon and featured project manager Sybille Kornitschky, joint artistic director Peter Schulze and a board member of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, Jeff Levenson. Ms Kornitschky underlined the need to ''keep the network going'' while Mr Levenson in a resonant phrase mentioned how jazz was ''created in America and owned by the world.'' Global jazz icon Dee Dee Bridgewater is a top speaker this year. Canadian avant pianist Kris Davis is showcasing among an extensive programme referred to by Mr Schulze who also mentioned a German Jazz Day online presence. International Jazz Day coincides with Jazzahead on Friday. Jeff Levenson, top left, Sybille Kornitschky, Peter Schulze & moderator Götz Bühler > Jazzahead! / German Jazz Day
