Newly signed to Whirlwind trumpeter and composer Linley Hamilton kicks off his tenure on the London label with Ginger's Hollow to be released in late-May. This marks the Belfast born player's latest appearance on record with his Irish-American band following on from 2020's For the Record again featuring the ex-Sco and Impossible Gentlemen drum icon Adam Nussbaum and the Pat Metheny Group bass guitar luminary Mark Egan. With Hamilton in the Irish contingent are joining him in the front line tenor saxophonist Derek ''Doc'' O'Connor known for his work with the RTÉ Late Late Show house band. In the rhythm section Dublin scene pianist-organist Cian Boylan - who has been working in recent years with singer Dana Masters - joins Egan and Nussbaum. Dates coming up ahead of the 26 May release include shows in Belfast (3rd May), Dublin (4th May), Tipperary (5th May), County Down (6th May) and Limerick (7th May).
