Fresh from winning a Grammy this year in the best jazz vocal album category for Secrets Are The Best Stories featuring Danilo Pérez, on Kurt Elling's next album to be released in the autumn entitled SuperBlue the singer and improviser extraordinaire has teamed up in a stylistic shift with guitarist Charlie Hunter plus mighty groovesters keyboardist DJ Harrison and drummer Corey Fonville from Butcher Brown. The brother of Sons of Kemet tuba player Theon Cross, Nathaniel, the most invigorating trombonist rising up to emerge on the UK jazz scene since Dennis Rollins first surfaced with Courtney Pine, studied at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and is best known for his work with drummer Moses Boyd.
