''The summer is here at last, the sky is overcast, and no one brings a rose for Emily''

The evocative lyrics of Rod Argent of The Zombies who appear at Eden in Scotland next weekend.

And there's also a tasty scattering of jazz and relatable beyond genre global music acts at Scotland's Eden Festival which begins on 13 June with the acclaimed Malian duo Amadou and Mariam plus breakout clubby jazz act trombone head Liam Shortall's Corto.Alto and the Fela-loving Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra all scheduled to appear.

Held in Raehills Meadows near Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, over 250 acts performing across 10 stages are expected. Dance act Leftfield, drum 'n' bass pioneer LTJ Bukem and wildly popular jazz loving DJ Mr Scruff are also set to appear at the festival that runs on until the 16th. Click for the website
