Pianist Mário Laginha, who was on Julian Argüelles' 1997 Babel album Skull View, is here in trio configuration with the saxophonist and completing the trio percussionist Helge Andreas Norbakken who for instance provides the opening of 'Singla'. I'd pick the lush 'Sweetie' of the tracks. There is however a good deal of variety and while some tracks are very heart-on-sleeve others including the 'Improviso' tracks are austere and more demanding.
