Next month Preservation Hall Jazz Band veteran saxophonist Charlie Gabriel having signed to the Sub Pop label releases 89 and ahead of release Doc Daugherty and Ellis Reynolds 'I’m Confessin’ covered by Harry James and Lester Young in the 1940s and new piece 'The Darker It Gets' are streaming. 89 includes six jazz standards and two new pieces with three tracks including the singing voice of Gabriel who has been gigging since the 1940s and who has been a member of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band since 2006.
