Containing a bustling Jazz Messengers feeling and jostling bonhomie, track of the day is trumpeter Sean Gibbs' composition 'The Grand Parade'. In the front line Gibbs is joined by tenorist and labelmate Riley Stone-Lonergan. The mighty Calum Gourlay of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra is on double bass with Rob Brockway on piano and Jay Davis on drums. Look for When Shall I See You Again from which the track is drawn on Martin Hummel's Ubuntu label in August. Sean Gibbs photo: Bandcamp
