Stepping beyond jazz for a refreshing dive into the world of folk and Americana After the Fire After the Rain is incredible, track after track as if part of a mystical charm the songs flow like water in a flood of inspiration and togetherness.

The Lost Brothers, Irish guitar-vocalist duo Oisin Leech and Mark McCausland, have come up with an outstandingly beautiful record that lights up something inside.

Bob Dylan bassist Tony Garnier has produced, guests include Jolie Holland and Steve Wickham from NoCrows. Very moving in a way there is so much thought at work and the creation of a faraway world that has a character all of its own. The harmonies are perfect, the songs, all wisely understated, as natural as a heartbeat. Take the opening of 'Wilderness' the way you are scooped up and swept deep inside the song is a marvel.

Playing Purcell Room, London, on 3 March then on tour. See The Lost Brothers website.
