The Kamasi Washington Young Turks album Becoming is to be released on 11 December, Washington's score for the Michelle Obama documentary film of the same name. There is an understated grandeur achieved in the writing delivered by the strings on 'Looking Forward' that is very impressive and encourages nearness. As film music listened to on its own merits without film imagery the short track feels completely right and has a momentousness to it throughout.
