As reported back in May alto saxophonist Allison Neale has signed to the Ubuntu label and for her first release for the label Quietly There to be released in August she will be joined by US guitarist Peter Bernstein. Here's her version of Lionel Hampton and Sonny Burke's 'Midnight Sun' from the album. The saxophonist in her career to date has performed alongside leading international artists such as Ellington vocalist Adelaide Hall and altoist Bud Shank and was a featured member of the John Dankworth Generations Band and the Back to Basie Orchestra. For a decade she played with the UK bebop guitarist Dave Cliff and debuted with Melody Express in 2004.
