A must-hear couple of tracks here from cult guitarist Dave Gisler along with featured spots from avant trumpeter Jaimie Branch and the great tenorist David Murray in quite a meeting of minds. The tracks offer potent contrast, on the title track there is a futuristic electronic sheen while 'Bastards on the Run' (!) is more a blistering onslaught. No holds barred stuff with plenty of freedom built in to the improvising and great to hear David Murray keeping new stimulating company. The full album is out in a couple of weeks' time.
