Interesting news for anyone into solo jazz piano because ECM (the label for solo piano recordings) are to release a solo album by acclaimed Polish pianist Dominik Wania in September titled Lonely Shadows.

Wania, best known for his work with Maciej Obara, recorded this Manfred Eicher-produced affair in Lugano last November in the Auditorio Stelio Molo studio. Wania was born in Sanok, Poland, and studied at the Academy of Music in Kraków and later the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Photo of Dominik Wania: ECM.
