Rather stimulating this often moving and certainly poetic Virginia Woolf themed chamber music from singer Marie-Florence Burki and a string ensemble that borrows words from The Waves by the great Bloomsbury era writer and places them in a musical context composed by Burki. Tracks like 'I Am a Stalk' land a little in the world of singers Brigitte Beraha or Lauren Kinsella. Overall it's a very natural, organic, process that is faithful to the experimental side of Woolf's work and offers a rich imagistic sensation and weightless impressionism at every turn.
