Singer-songwriter Sarah L King is to debut next month with Fire Horse produced by Claire Martin. The album to be issued on the Peccadillo label features eight of King's original compositions and we were much taken by the very radio friendly lead-off track 'Holding On To Love' - our new track of the week (reminds us of the style of Rumer a little), Fire Horse also includes arrangements of 'Devil May Care', 'Lush Life' and 'Stolen Moments'. On the album Jim Watson is on piano and keyboards, Laurence Cottle on electric bass, Jeremy Brown on double bass, Ian Thomas is on drums, James McMillan on flugelhorn and Chris Traves is on trombone. Martin says: "I love Sarah's vocal style and songwriting skills. Thought provoking, tender and sophisticated lyrics set to soulful jazz melodies that are fresh and well crafted. I'm very proud to be involved with her debut album and look forward to more people hearing her music."

Dates coming up include a launch gig at Pizza Express Jazz Club in London on 18 February
