What fabulous rapport there is here on this outstanding new duo album from guitarist Kevin Eubanks and pianist Orrin Evans. It's loose and organic with nods to the pair's Philadelphia roots. Some of the material was laid down in the studio, other tracks were recorded live at Philadelphia spot Chris’ Jazz Cafe. The album includes a version of Tom Browne's 'Dream of Lovin’ You' and originals including Evans ballad 'Dawn Marie'. One of the best albums we have come across this year, EEE: The Eubanks Evans Experience is out now.
