There's an intriguing new direction on tenor saxophonist and composer JD Allen's new album of originals This to be issued in the autumn with 'Boom-Bap' our new track of the week, a piece that certainly provides a firm idea of where he's at. Allen's long time label Savant are putting the album out in November.
