Talk about a trio Owensing it: We are dying for more at the prospect of 10 Years after hearing 'Cameron the Wise' a while back and gravitating back to the sound today. Gutsy to the g on that number from tenor saxophonist Charles Owens along with Butcher Brown bass guitarist Andrew Randazzo and providing the formidable opening figure drummer Devonne Harris aka DJ Harrison also from the often compelling BB. All three knit well and there's a strong undercurrent behind Owens' feisty Joe Lo sense of flow and control.

'Caught up in the Rapture' is on the record. Check a live version top, the video keeps it real like you're there warts and all. It's June for 10 Years. Have a considered gander in the meantime at the site of issuing label La Reserve. All track titling at a glance here, via Qobuz. Devonne Harris, top left, Andrew Randazzo and Charles Owens

By singer Zoë Gilby, from the north-east of England whose legend has long since travelled far from home, the song includes a fine double bass contribution from Andy Champion. Gilby wrote the songs with the poetic Tom Harrell. If you're into top singers in the same style bracket as Polly Gibbons and of course dig Harrell (Noel Dennis providing the overt, tasteful, homage) you'll love this as Gilby shows her undoubted pedigree once again. Out now
