A gutsy ensemble impact led by Jasper Høiby here, the double bassist best known for the trios Phronesis and Malija. Here he is in another dynamic unit, the Dane in quite a different guise on studio album Planet B, a title that also doubles as the name of the band.

A harmony instrument-less trio affair evolving from riff to open asymmetric groove that distinguishes the sound from both the drum-less Malija (which it is closest to despite the presence of piano in that group) and Phronesis (built from the ground up inspired by the Avishai Cohen trio sound of yesteryear), the album is to come out on Edition records in March and was recorded in Copenhagen.

Jasper is joined by Kenny Wheeler Prize-winning English saxophonist Josh Arcoleo and by the powerful French drummer Marc Michel.
